The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
